5 Axis CNC Machining Center
High-Performance 5 Axis CNC Machining Center - DV Series
The DV Series 5 axis CNC machining center from HIRUNG is built for manufacturers that need to machine large, heavy, and geometrically complex parts in a single setup. With a direct-drive B-axis, a 1200 kg rotary table load, and +-0.005 mm repeatability, this high precision 5 axis machining center reduces fixtures, setups, and datum errors across aerospace, mold, medical, automotive, and energy production.
Overview
DV1560 5 Axis CNC Machining Center: Built for Large, Heavy, High-Precision Parts
Launched by HIRUNG in 2018, the DV1560 is a high-precision 5 axis CNC machining center engineered for R&D and production environments that handle larger, heavier components. It delivers the load capacity, rigidity, and accuracy required for aerospace, automotive, and energy workpieces that smaller machines cannot stabilize.
A large 5 axis CNC machine only earns its floor space when it can hold accuracy under load. The DV1560 pairs a 1200 kg rotary table with a heavily ribbed Meehannite FC30 casting, so heavy blanks stay dimensionally stable through long cutting cycles instead of drifting as the structure warms up or flexes.
Because the workpiece can be tilted and rotated in one clamping, the DV1560 completes five-sided and contoured features without repeated repositioning – the core reason shops choose a 5 axis machining center for complex parts over running the same job across multiple 3-axis setups.

Spindle & B-Axis
High-Precision Spindle and Direct-Drive B-Axis Integration
In the DV Series 5 axis CNC machining center, the spindle and B-axis are combined into a single unit. This eliminates the accuracy loss commonly caused by repeated assembly, so machining results stay consistent part after part.
The B-axis uses a DD (direct drive) built-in electric spindle with a circular optical ruler, achieving an impressive +-110 deg indexing range and a positioning accuracy of 0.0015 deg.
Equipped with a BBT40 built-in electric spindle, the system reaches speeds up to 14,000 rpm – suitable for heavy cutting, high-precision machining, and diverse industry applications from aluminum to steel.
Integrated spindle + B-axis
One unit, no re-assembly error, better long-term accuracy.
DD direct-drive B-axis
Circular optical ruler, +-110 deg indexing, 0.0015 deg positioning.
BBT40 motor spindle, 14000 rpm
Balanced for heavy cutting and high-speed finishing.
Structure
Reinforced Mechanical Structure for Long-Term Accuracy
Accuracy on a 5 axis CNC machining center is decided by the structure, not just the control. The DV Series is engineered to stay rigid and thermally stable through long production runs.
Meehannite FC30 Castings
The 5 axis CNC machining center is built using Meehannite FC30 castings, aged for 90 days to prevent deformation over the machine's lifetime. This robust foundation weighs 12,000 kg and provides exceptional rigidity and durability.
Optimized X / Y / Z Axis Layout
The X-axis adopts a lower structure while the Y-axis uses an upper structure. This design effectively prevents sagging at extreme travel limits, ensuring superior dynamic accuracy.
Widened Roller Linear Guides
High-precision heavy-duty roller linear guides with extra sliders protect rigidity under load:
X-axis: 6 heavy-duty sliders; Y-axis: 8 heavy-duty sliders; Z-axis: 6 heavy-duty sliders.
The rigidity and precision of the machine tool are effectively guaranteed by this widened guide layout.
24-Tool Arm-Type Tool Magazine
The standard configuration uses a 24-tool arm-type magazine. Tool exchange time is 1.5 seconds, supporting uninterrupted multi-operation machining of complex parts.
Maintenance
Multi-Language Electrical System for Easy Maintenance
Every machine and electrical component in the DV Series 5 axis CNC machining center is labeled in Chinese, English, and Russian. Even operators who are not circuit experts can identify each component's function at a glance.
By giving instant clarity on the role of each part, downtime is minimized and troubleshooting becomes straightforward – keeping production lines running. From seasoned engineers to new staff, anyone can confidently navigate and maintain the machine thanks to the intuitive, multilingual labeling system.
Trilingual labeling (CN / EN / RU)
Faster fault finding and safer maintenance across global sites.
Less downtime
Clear component identification shortens troubleshooting and training time.
Applications
5 Axis CNC Machining Center Applications Across Industries
A 5 axis machining center earns its value on parts that would otherwise need repeated repositioning or complex fixtures. By approaching the workpiece from any angle in one setup, the DV Series holds the positional relationship between complex surfaces – exactly what these industries demand.
Aerospace parts: turbine blades, impellers, structural components
Aerospace and Defense
Aerospace work – titanium structural parts, turbine blades, impellers, and curved airframe components – needs rigidity for heavy cutting and fine surface control for finishing. The DV Series rotary table and direct-drive B-axis hold angular accuracy on deep cavities and angled surfaces where 3-axis access falls short.
Automotive and New-Energy Vehicles
From engine and transmission components to new-energy parts such as electric motor housings and battery cooling plates, the DV Series machines multi-face features in fewer setups. Shorter tool overhang when the spindle tilts toward the cut also improves rigidity and surface quality.
Automotive and NEV parts: e-motor housings, battery cold plates
Mold and die: injection molds, die-casting and stamping dies
Mold and Die Manufacturing
Deep cavities, complex cores, and intricate details need tool access from multiple angles. The DV Series reaches inclined surfaces and curved cavities that are hard to polish by hand, cutting EDM and manual finishing time on injection, die-casting, and stamping tooling.
Medical and Orthopedic Implants
Patient-matched implants and surgical components have organic, complex geometries and strict surface requirements. The DV Series machines titanium implants and instruments in one setup, holding the contour accuracy that biocompatible parts require.
Medical parts: orthopedic implants, spinal plates, surgical components
Energy and fluid parts: pump impellers, valve bodies, hydraulic components
Energy, Fluid, and Hydraulic Equipment
Pump impellers, valve bodies, and hydraulic components are large, complex, and often made from hard-to-cut alloys. The DV Series combines table load, rigidity, and rotary-axis accuracy to machine three-dimensional curved blades and multi-face ports in a single clamping.
General Precision Engineering and Job Shops
For mixed part families, flexibility matters more than extreme specialization. The DV Series work envelope, fast changeovers, and open CAM compatibility let subcontract shops take on varied orders – from precision fixtures to complex general engineering work – without re-fixturing for every job.
